Things To Do

Once you arrive at the island, we recommend renting a golf cart which is often the easiest (and most fun) way to travel Boca Grande. There is a golf cart path which nearly stretches the length of the island. Renting a cart is not mandatory by any means, but it provides a more fun experience. Below, please find some of our suggested golf cart rental locations.
Gasparilla Island Lighthouse

Gasparilla Island Lighthouse

220 Gulf Boulevard, Boca Grande, FL 33921

The Port Boca Grande Lighthouse, built in 1890, was originally used to safely guide ships into the Charlotte Harbor. The lighthouse is an iron screw pile design with a wood frame and when lit, is visible from up to 12 miles away. It is one of only six lighthouses in Florida to be open to the public, and the only one on the west coast.

Gasparilla Island State Park

Gasparilla Island State Park

880 Belcher Road, Boca Grande, FL 33921

Swimming, snorkeling, fishing and nature study are popular activities that can be accessed at any of our five parking lots.

Gasparilla Adventures

333 Park Avenue, Boca Grande, FL 33921

Golf carts, bikes, kayak and SUP rentals

Kappy's Market

5800 Gasparilla Road, Boca Grande, FL 33921

One of the best golf cart rental spots on the island. Kappy's also has beer, wine, snacks, clothing, sunscreen and anything else you might need.

The Pink Pony

471 Park Avenue, Boca Grande, FL 33921

Eagle Grille & Miller's Dockside

220 Harbor Drive, Boca Grande, FL 33921

Our favorite bar and restaurant downtown.
