Tampa International Airport (TPA) is located about 25–30 minutes from downtown St. Pete. Say hi to Phoebe, the giant flamingo on Level 3 of the Main Terminal! From the airport, the easiest ways to reach downtown St. Pete are Uber or Lyft or rental car. Taxi services are also available at the airport. Typical rideshare cost to downtown St. Pete is $30–45 depending on time of day. A smaller airport option is St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport (PIE). PIE is about 20 minutes from downtown St. Pete and is served primarily by budget airlines such as Allegiant. If you find a direct flight there, it can be very convenient. If you're staying downtown, you may not need a car at all. Downtown St. Pete is very walkable and full of restaurants, parks, and shops within a few blocks of the waterfront. Transportation options include Uber or Lyft, The Downtown Looper, a free trolley that runs throughout downtown and the Pier, or rental bikes and scooters. There's even a bus to to the beaches!

Where to Stay

Downtown St. Petersburg has many great hotel options within walking distance of the waterfront, restaurants, and the wedding venue at the Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg. Staying downtown will make it easy to explore the area, enjoy the waterfront parks, and walk to many restaurants and coffee shops throughout the weekend. For guests who prefer to stay within major hotel brands, downtown St. Pete has convenient options from all three major chains: Hyatt: Hyatt Place St. Petersburg / Downtown Hilton: Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront Marriott: AC Hotel St. Petersburg Downtown and Courtyard St. Petersburg Downtown All of these hotels are centrally located downtown and provide easy access to Beach Drive, the St. Pete Pier, museums, and the lively Central Avenue restaurant district. Guests looking for a classic waterfront resort experience may enjoy The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, an iconic historic hotel overlooking Tampa Bay with beautiful grounds and a marina. It is about a 10-minute walk along the waterfront to the venue. For a smaller boutique stay right on Beach Drive, consider The Birchwood, located just steps from the museum and many downtown restaurants. Vacation rentals through Airbnb or VRBO are also widely available throughout downtown and can be a great option for families or groups staying for a long weekend. Don't hesitate to reach out to Kate and Eric for recommendations! We recommend booking accommodations early, as June is a popular time to visit St. Petersburg.
