What is the address?

Answer

The address for both the ceremony and reception is 159 First Lake Drive, Lower Sackville, NS. The building name is the Sackawa Canoe Club.

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP no later than June 21, 2026

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the venue by 5:30pm.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the "travel" tab for hotel options close to the venue. The closest option is the Inn on the Lake in Fall River, with plenty of additional choices in Halifax and Dartmouth if you wish to stay closer to the city.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are choosing to have a buffet style meal. To accommodate food allergies and preferences please indicate this on the RSVP and we will ensure there is an option appropriate for you.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We encourage people to dress in cocktail attire. Think colourful long dresses, dress shirts, or dress pants. Please avoid jeans and t-shirts.

Are kids welcome?

Our preference is to keep this celebration as an adults only event.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to our desire to keep a more intimate ceremony and reception please only bring those who are listed on the invitation, thank you for respecting our wishes!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the building. If needed, you are welcome to leave your car overnight to be collected to following morning.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We do not have any arranged transportation to get attendees to and from the event. We suggest using Uber as a transportation option, or arranging a designated driver for the evening. Unfortunately the venue is not located on any convenient bus routes.

What do I give as a gift? Do you have a registry?

Answer

If you feel you would like to provide a wedding gift, the bride and groom would appreciate a monetary contribution towards our honeymoon. We do not have a registry.
