We met through our mutual friends, Katie and Mike, during our time in East Lansing. The first time we met, Connor was wearing a very hipster brown collared shirt patterned with bears, wolves, and pine trees. Luckily for Connor, that was exactly Kate’s style, and it was enough to win her interest. We spent the next six months getting to know each other and officially started dating on February 29, 2016. After some time navigating long distance, Connor was given the opportunity, through the Air Force, to be stationed in England, and Kate got the chance to join him! We spent the next three years traveling throughout Europe and fully took advantage of every opportunity. It was during this time that Connor asked Kate to marry him standing on the White Cliffs of Dover with the English coastline behind them, and she enthusiastically said yes! We were married on September 4, 2020, in a beautiful courthouse in Bury St Edmunds, England. Since then, we bought a house in Redford, MI, adopted our very special boy, Bury (named after the town we lived in in England) and now we are excited to have a renewal ceremony in front of our close family and friends. We cannot wait to finally say “I do” in front those who matter most in the beautiful mountains of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
