What should I wear?

Answer

Please dress for a semi-formal & festive-formal celebration. We'd like you to wear a dark suit and tie or a midi or knee-length cocktail dress. The vibe is Desert Glam (think desert hues and warm, earthy shades of black, sage, tan, dusty rose, and forest green). The average temperature in mid-October in Pioneertown is a high of 80 Fahrenheit and a low of 55 Fahrenheit. Please bring a light jacket or wrap to stay warm. For those wearing heels, please consider the desert terrain and select something fun to dance in!

Is there cellphone service at Rimrock Ranch?

Answer

Cell service throughout the desert is sporadic! AT&T works at Rimrock Ranch, but please be prepared to unplug and enjoy the moment.

What is an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Glad you asked! An unplugged ceremony asks you to keep your phones away during the ceremony. There will be a photographer, a team of two videographers, and a photo booth to help us capture the day! There will also be disposable cameras available and polaroids. Please help us by using these cameras for additional vantages and keepsakes.

Is there Uber and Lyft available in the desert?

Answer

No, please view our Travel & Stay section for a number of taxis and car services to schedule transportation with during the weekend. Additionally, we will have a shuttle service running a loop between Rimrock Ranch, Pioneertown, The Super 8 Yucca Valley, and The Copper Room (the after party).

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

If you're staying in Pioneertown (a walkable spot to the Pioneertown Motel) or the Pioneertown Motel, a shuttle will be provided to take you to the venue and take you home after the celebration. If you're staying at a nearby AirBnB and can walk, please do! If not, please arrange transportation to pick you up and take you home from one of the listed car services on the travel and stay page. The parking lot can only hold approximately thirty cars, so we need to be conscious of who is driving to the ceremony and reception. If you cannot take a shuttle or car service, please carpool. Additionally, the roads are dark and windy. Please designate a driver ahead of time and do not drink and drive.

What is the schedule for the day?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm. Please arrive and have a drink before the ceremony and get settled beginning at 3:00 pm. There will be a cocktail hour at 5:00 pm and dinner and speeches from 6:00-8:00 pm. At 8:00 pm, please join us for dancing and stargazing. The celebration will travel to The Copper Room via Shuttle at 10:00 pm until 2:00 am.

Is there an after party?

Answer

Yes! We have rented The Copper Room in Yucca Valley for the after-party from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. The Super 8 in Yucca Valley (a shuttle stop) is a ten minute walk from The Copper Room, and there are other great places to stay in the area. Additionally, the shuttles will be doing a loop to return folks to Pioneertown and Rimrock.

Where will the Welcome Gathering be taking place?

Please join us on the Friday evening before our wedding at Compound Yucca Valley. Beer and wine will be served. Parking is limited at the venue. Please Uber or Carpool if possible. There are 14 spaces available at the gallery. Additional parking down the street/in back neighborhoods and across the highway at the free Park & Ride on the corner of 62 an Kickapoo are available if parking is full.

We are at capacity with our venue, so we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We look forward to celebrating with you on the day!

Yes! We will be taking in the magic of the desert and celebrating outdoors under the autumn desert sun and stars. At 10:00pm we will be moving indoors.

What type of food will be served?

We will be having catering from The Lime Truck! There will be two taco trucks serving... 1. Ponzo Marinated Shiitake Mushrooms with Chipotle Honey Slaw, Pickled Red Onions, Homemade Guac, and Cotija Cheese (GF, Vegetarian) 2. Spicy Adobo Impossible Meat with Ginger Sesame Slaw, Cilantro Chimichurri, Crispy Wontons, and Sesame (Vegan) 3. Washington Farms Crispy PeeWee Potatoes with Tomatillo Pico de Gallo, Cilantro Chimichurri (GF, Vegan) 4. Grilled Ahi Tuna, Cabbage, Cilantro, Lime, Pickled Onions, Avocado (GF) all with chips and Pico de Gallo! There will be late night snacks available at The Copper Room.
