Matron of Honor
Laura is one of the main reasons Chris and I are getting married. I met Laura 6 years ago, at one of the darkest times of my life. Laura has encouraged, taught, and walked with me through heartbreak, loss, joy, and hope. She has challenged me to develop my relationship with God and establish the principles that now guide my life. With the grace of God and the patience of Laura, I have been transformed into a good daughter, sister, friend, and now wife.
Best Man
We don't know how Adam and Chris met, but it was a long time ago, and they have been friends ever since. They share a sense of adventure. They have plans to run a business together someday, and we fully intend to have our families be friends and our kids to grow up together.
Bridesmaid
Cindy Lee is my sister. She has seen my at my absolute worst, and still loved me. She supported me, helped me, and believed in me. One of the greatest things my father gave me is my sisters. Each one has impacted me more than they could ever know. Cindy didn't stop at sister, she gave me friendship. She's didn't have to, but she loved me as her friend and I will forever be grateful.
Groomsman
Foster and Chris have been friends since high school, and Foster was the photographer for Chris and Adam's paintball team. They were in choir together, and bonded over being Big Chris and Little Chris. In their high school years, Chris and Foster constructed a flame thrower, and were scolded for not doing it right by Mr. Cole.
Bridesmaid
Myriah is my newest friend. When I left my friends, family, and home to be with Chris, she made the transition to Des Moines easier. Myriah is warm, kind, thoughtful, and she welcomed me with open arms. We have gotten closer since I moved, and I am grateful to call this amazing person friend.
Groomsman
Chris and Greg grew up in Rising Sun Church of Christ together, and have been friends for a long time. They have traveled the country together, and Chris has bandaged Greg's accident proneness on the trail several times. The boys used to ride motorcycles for hours, from Jordan Creek to Bonderant. It is truly an honor to have Greg be a witness to our day!
Bridesmaid
Lauren is my whimsical, hippie friend. She is hilarious, kind, strong, and an amazing woman I get to call friend. We have walked through hard times together, but always made it through. She has been there through good and bad, and managed to put a smile on my face the whole way.
Groomsman
Nick and Chris met through business functions, where they formed a friendship that has extended to all of the boys. Nick acts as the groups alarm clock on camping trips, and provides a unique dynamic to the group.
Flower Girl
Oaklyn is the cutest little lady that I am privileged to call my great-niece. Her heart shaped nostrils and her smile eminate love to everyone she is around, and we can't wait to see her be our flower girl!
Ring Bearer
Ryker is the blessing that came in to my life and allowed her to move to Des Moines and be with Chris. Ryker and his family taught me about strength, faith, love, and happiness. I was privileged to be a part of Ryker and Maverick's life, and witnessed God's love everyday with the boys. Ryker mastered walking, a miracle most doctor's said he would never achieve, and I am so excited and happy to have him walk our rings down the aisle.
