Where is Normal, IL anyway?

Answer

Our location is in the heart of central Illinois, at the intersection of Interstates 39, 55 and 74. Normal, and its twin city, Bloomington, are just a few hours from Chicago, St. Louis and Indianapolis. There are many options for getting here... plane, train, or of course, automobile. For more information about getting to Normal, IL, check out this link: https://www.visitbn.org/travel-tools/getting-around/ P.S. Just be sure not to book your travel to Bloomington, Indiana! You won't be the first person to fly to Bloomington, IL, only to realize that you meant to go to Bloomington, Indiana... or the other way around. Remember: you are going to Central Illinois!

Our reception is at Destihl, but you might be wondering, which Destihl location?

Answer

That's right, there are two Destihl's in Normal, IL. So which is the right one?? The one on Greenbriar Drive. It's called Destihl Brewery, 1200 Greenbriar Drive in Normal. (Don't go to Destihl Restaurant and Brew Works on Towanda Avenue... we won't be there!)

Where do I need to be, and when?

We are still working out all of the details to create a wonderful wedding weekend in central Illinois for you... check back here as time gets closer for more details on welcome gatherings, rehearsal and of course, the big day... Saturday, July 16, 2022!

Answer

Yes! We are registered at four stores: Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Target, and Amazon. Check out the "Registry" tab on this website to see everything we picked out!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of rooms at the Hyatt Place in Normal, IL! It is right in the heart of Uptown Normal, which is walking distance to many nearby amenities - food, shopping, train/bus station, etc. There's more info on the Hyatt block of rooms and other hotel options in the "Travel" tab.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes; if not, we would prefer that it just be you.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes of course! Dinner will be buffet style, so please reach out and let us know of any food allergies, and we will make sure you get a special meal.

What is appropriate dress attire?

Answer

Traditional wedding attire, please; but mostly we want you to feel comfortable! So if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose!
