Nestled just steps from the waterfront, Thames Street & Bowen's Wharf have been Newport's main commercial drag since the 18th century. Here you'll find a collection of local shops like Thames Glass and Newport Fudgery, as well as more mainstream stores. Street parking is limited, so plan on arriving early or parking at the Newport Visitor Information Center, which is situated a block west of the northern part of Thames Street.
