Flight

SLC

SLC is the Salt Lake City airport code. There are multiple flights a day to SLC from Vegas, LAX, SFO, Maui, Honolulu, and Dallas. As SLC is a Delta hub, Delta (SkyTeam) offers the most flights; American Airlines (Oneworld), United (Star Alliance), Hawaiian (Oneworld), and Alaska (Oneworld) all have flights to SLC as well.

Train

Trax

The light rail, Trax, runs from the airport through downtown Salt Lake City. It is free to ride within a designated area of downtown. For a map of the free fare area, please see the attached link.

Rental Car

Turo

Turo is like Airbnb for cars and is often more affordable than traditional car rental companies. Agencies like Hertz, Budget, Alamo, Enterprise, and other international brands have a desk at the SLC airport.

Things to do near Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City is an excellent base from which to explore the Western US. Here are a few places to visit near town and further afield: Natural History Museum (in Salt Lake), Mill Creek Canyon (15 minutes), Park City (30 minutes), Arches National Park (4 hours), Yellowstone National Park (4.5 hours), Zion National Park (4.5 hours), Vegas (6 hours).
