We first met back in college and the rest is history...you're welcome ;) For those looking for a little more detail, we've got you covered you too. We actually only briefly met in passing in college. Our story started years later and all thanks to Paul's brother Christian and one of Kate's best friends Maria Spears - Thanks, you crazy kids! There is no doubt God was the guiding force behind this story. But for your sake, we will keep it short and we only get 2000 characters. Maria was "in town" - the Philadelphia airport and then driven back to Harrisburg where Kate and family lived. Christian was in Galena, Maryland, at a Craft-Lewis "no friend" family Fourth of July weekend tradition. Maria reached out to Christian and naturally Christian invited Maria to join the weekend festivities. Kate, being the hostess with the mostest, drove her "in-town" guest out of state, two and half hours. Despite the hilarious situation it caused - ya know, Kate and Maria having to stop for chicken because we did not have enough food for them - God knew what He was doing and we've both been incredibly grateful for you two! We hard-core friend-zoned each other at first. It wasn't until after a few weekends, Paul thought, "clearly she's into me" ... and quickly realized actually he was the one wildly interested in her. So, he did what any normal guy would do and worked up (liquid) courage and asked her out. She said, "Sure" and he was like "Yes!" Seth, Kate's brother and friend of Paul, gets champ status. Paul wanted to surprise Kate by coming up to Hershey - week one into dating. Seth arranged the whole thing so Kate had no idea. All Paul had to do was show up! It worked perfectly. Since then we have continued to surprise each other, out-gift each other, learn about each other and it is in that learning that we have fallen in love. Thank you for joining us in celebrating that!
