We're getting married!

Kate and Joe met while volunteering at St John's Christkindl Village. Joe first noticed Kate when he saw a cute girl in reindeer antlers walking away from the sign-in desk, and Kate first noticed Joe while he was making rounds trying to build up the courage to go and talk to the seasonally-themed cutie. The attraction was immediate, but it was only the beginning. Due to Christmas travel plans, it was a few weeks before the couple could spend their first date together, but they shared texts and calls during this time apart that allowed them to learn about the other, and it's during this period that their courtship was sparked. Not long after that first date, the two decided to make their relationship official and began discerning the possibility of a future together. In the time that followed, the couple developed a deep bond around their shared faith, values, humor, love of play, and visions of the future. They also began to integrate more and more into the other's life, sharing in joys and pains and in special moments with friends and family. Despite a relatively short courtship, the couple knew they'd found the partner God intended each to spend his life with, and Joe surprised Kate with a proposal for marriage this past June so they could stop wasting anymore time apart!
