As most of you know, Christian and I have been dating since high school. He grabbed my hand one October night in 2008 and asked if I would be his girlfriend. Fast forward through our teenage years, some ups and downs, and into adult hood bringing us to our eleventh anniversary, where he asked me to be his wife. On the Thursday before our anniversary, Christian calls to tell me his aunt signed us up for a photoshoot with a family friend who was looking to build her portfolio. With me usually being behind the lens, I was all for it and was immediately distracted with the thought of what I should wear and if I was really cut out for the modeling life. :) We arrive to the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge just before sunset and I can tell Christian is incredibly nervous. He had done a few things that caused me to think he just might get down on one knee, but I always knew I would have a true gut feeling, and I just didn't. We posed and posed, then posed some more so at this point I truly felt that if it was going to happen, he would've already done it. Then, the photographer asks us to walk towards the Dallas Skyline, so we begin to walk and Christian starts to squeeze my hand a little tighter and say, "You know I love you right?" I specifically remember asking him not to talk because our mouths would be open in the photos. He kept going..."you've been my number one fan for eleven years..." Yep, and then I began to freak! He said a few more things that I cannot remember and then stopped, grabbed my other hand, and got down on one knee while asking THE question, "will you marry me?" It was like time stood still and we were the only people on that bridge. I will never forget that moment. We both cried and stared at the most beautiful ring I've ever seen, took a few more photos and then went to our favorite restaurant. The surprises continued....both of our families and closest friends were there waiting to celebrate with us! It was beautiful and perfect! -Kate
