Charles and I are renewing our vows

We are throwing a celebration of love/vow renewal! Roaring 20’s style!

We hope you’ll join us!

Our love story!

“ Once upon a time a doll named Kate met a swanky fella named Charles and he swept her off her feet and married her!” Since then my fella and I have had many adventures and Charles is definitely my favorite adventurer and partner in crime! We love traveling, antiquing, dancing, anything to do with bourbon and we absolutely love speakeasies and anything to do with the roaring 20’s! We would like to thank you for visiting our website. We will be having a vow renewal and celebration and we hope you can join us!

Renewal

We absolutely love speakeasies, and one of our favorite trips was touring the Bourbon trail! So we thought why not throw in a roaring 20s theme for our renewal! So grab your Gatsby attire , and join us for great music, great drinks and lot’s of dancing! ( As long as covid cooperates) Because remember.. “ A little party never killed nobody” F. Scott Fitzgerald Gatsby attire is not required but we are going to be giving away a couple prizes for the best outfits!! We want this to be a roaring 20s style renewal but it’s also just a very casual and fun gathering of family and friends! So come as you are or come dressed in 20 era clothing. Either way please come. Feel free to arrive a little bit early because we will have some cocktails available to sip on. Sometime between 5-5:15, We are going to have a standing gather around type of renewal. We really just wanted everyone to gather around us, as family, while we say some very sweet and quick renewal vows! We are leading this ourselves and will not be having an officiant. After that sip on some Prohibition style cocktails, grab a couple snacks, and mingle while I change and we grab a few pictures. After that we’re going to eat and dance!! *** Speakeasies were normally hidden away behind normal operating businesses and you had to have a password to get in. So going with that tradition you will need to look for the sign outside the door way that says women’s temperance meeting, to you know you’re at the right location and you will need to know the password... Giggle water.. to enter!! (This is going to be cocktail style seating. We will have hightop cocktail tables, a couch seating area, and high top bar seating) We really are looking forward to celebrating with you!

Why renew you might ask.. especially during a pandemic?

Charles and I had a beautiful masquerade wedding in 2017. There were things we loved and of course some things didn’t turn out perfect. That’s with every wedding. There were some things that I did want to add to, such as extra photography. etc. But thats not why we’re renewing...honestly the reason is...just to celebrate our love. Charles’ children did not get to be involved in our wedding and I know it means a lot to him to have them there. We lost my father in November 2019 and then we had a cancer scare in 2020. No one knows how much time they have and no one should put moments of love off. And honestly that just made us want to grab our blessings and celebrate again. We have gone back-and-forth on if we should or should not have the renewal during a pandemic. We have changed our venue a couple times due to covid issues and have had to cut our guest list down. But what I found is that toning it down to family and a few friends and doing it safely, can still work even with covid. Right now our plan is to have it at our venue but we are going to keep our backyard open as a back up plan. What I do know is that we want to celebrate our love and so we are going to have a beautiful 1920 era vow renewal in June!
