Isla Holbox is an island north of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, in Quintana Roo. Getting to Holbox requires a flight to Cancun International Airport (CUN), a 2-hour drive to Chiquila, and a 30-minute ferry ride. We know it's a hike, but we hope you can make it! From the airport, you will need to get to Chiquila. There are several ways to get there: 1. Shared or private shuttle to Chiquila (recommended) 2. Rent a car at the airport ($25-$40 USD/day)* 3. ADO bus from Cancun to Chiquila: www.ado.com.mx/ 4. Private transportation *Please note that there are no cars allowed on Isla Holbox. The main method of transport is by golf carts, or walking. If you choose to rent a vehicle, you will need to leave your rental car in one of the paid parking lots near the dock in Chiquila. Once in Chiquila, you will take the ferry to Isla Holbox. Tickets are $11 USD ($220 pesos). Please see FAQs for additional travel resource information & ferry schedule.
