T: In early January 2024, when Katarina and I were categorically "just friends," we took our first day trip to Golden Gardens beach to walk across the low tide rocks and envision our hopes for the year ahead (and secretly, our hopes for romance). As we moseyed back to Katarina's car, a gentleman asked for help jumping his car's battery. True to Katarina's good nature, she gladly accepted and I swooned. K: As we were driving back from the beach, Tucker offered to take me to one of the bakeries she grew up going to. I obviously said yes. After parking the car a block from Larsen's bakery in Crown Hill, we were stopped in our tracks, both in awe at what was easily the cutest house in all of Seattle. A tan brick house with pink trim, stain glass windows, and lace curtains. I looked over to Tucker and said "that's it, we're going to get married and have babies and live in that house, there's no way around it." I was surprised that I'd said so much out loud, but when I turned wide eyed at Tucker, she immediately agreed. T&K: Two days later we confessed our love for one another, kissed our first kiss, and the rest is history. Three days later we realized we should probably stop slowly driving by the pink brick house...
