Our Engagement Story

The Wedding Website of Katarina Konstantino and Joseph Conroy III
On July 26th, Joey planned an impromptu day trip to Monhegan, a magical island one hour off the coast of Maine. After disembarking the ferry, we headed to hike along the rocky cliffs on the Eastern side of the island. We took photos of each other scaling rockfaces with Joey's camera while sweltering in the 90-degree heat of July. We made it 30 minutes South before Joey realized we were heading away from the cove that he "really wanted to take photos of". I argued that there would be other coves in the direction we were going, but Joey insisted that he photograph Gull Cove. So, we trudged back on the winding trail until we reached a private cove that revealed the expanse of the Atlantic. Joey set up his camera to take a self-timer photo of the two of us. I posed for the photo, and he ran over for the first shot, and the second shot, and finally on the third he kneeled and asked me to marry him. I was as surprised as I was overjoyed. We celebrated with cold drinks and pizza by the water.
