We are all familiar with the phrase, "When you know, you know." We just do not know when that will happen. For me, it was during a summer night in Arlington on May 27th, 2023. It started like every other ordinary Saturday, where you roll out of bed late and start calling all your friends to make nightly plans. What I decided to do was the usual go to Clarendon with Chris. After a long night of listening to loud music and dancing, we ended up outside on the street talking to friends. That is when she passed by, and everything happened just like the movies. Time suddenly moved in slow motion, she glowed and sparkled, and everything else faded away. I had to meet her as I was building up the confidence to talk to her. That is when I overheard her speaking Portuguese to her friends, and I thought to myself, jackpot, I had my in, and the rest, as they say, was history. After our first conversation, that is when I knew.
