When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by September 1st. Make sure you RSVP for the Welcome Party, too!
Question
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive to Springhouse Gardens by 5:10 PM to ensure you have enough time to find a seat. The garden center closes to the public at 5 PM and guests and can start arriving then. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30. Lexington is packed with activities during our wedding weekend, such as the Fall Keeneland Meet and a home football game (time TBD), so please account for traffic!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
The Welcome Party is casual! Please come as you are because we know many of you may be traveling that day. For our wedding we request cocktail attire. Typically for women this means a knee or midi length dress, dressy separates, or a jumpsuit. For men a button down and blazer or a matching suit is acceptable. We chose our venue to celebrate the beautiful fall colors and the changing of the leaves! Feel free to lean into this and we look forward to seeing all the colors decorating the garden center :)

Are kids welcome?

Whilst we love little ones, we kindly request a child-free wedding.
Question
Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes! The ceremony and reception are in the same location and valet parking is provided at the garden center. If you need to leave your car overnight, this is fine, but the garden center doesn't open until 11 AM on Sunday to get your car. If you need it prior to this time, please make other arrangments. The garden center closes at 4 PM on Sunday.

Can I record the ceremony on my phone?
Answer
We are requesting an unplugged ceremony and that guests do not take photos or videos during it. We have hired a wonderful photography team to be in charge of capturing all of those memories for us. Feel free to take photos during cocktail hour and the reception!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
There will be a welcome party at The Melodeon on Friday night! If you are in town, please stop by for some cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres. Make sure to RSVP so we know how much to provide!

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invitation will say "and guest" if you have been allotted a plus one. Please do not bring additional people as our venue has a strict capacity limit which can not flex.

Where is the afterparty?
Answer
If you haven't had enough of dancing by the time the wedding is over, head downtown to the bride and grooms favorite Irish bar, McCarthy's, for a Big Ginger! Other recommended bars downtown are Centro, Bluegrass Tavern, and Stagger Inn (especially if you want to re-live those college days)
