Travel

Our wedding will be at the Goat Farm Arts Center -- in the West Midtown / Westside Provisions area of Atlanta. Here are some lodging suggestions based on proximity and some of our favorite things to do & places to eat in the area.

Hotel

The Bellyard Hotel - West Midtown Atlanta

1 Interlock Avenue Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30318

The closest hotel to our wedding venue is the Bellyard West Midtown. it is a .5 mile/15ish minute walk to The Goat Farm Arts Center. This spot is also a 5ish mile bike ride *mostly via Westside Beltline to the West End if you plan to join us for our bike ride! If staying at The Bellyard, Kat & Taylor recommend: Breakfast & coffee at The Daily https://www.shopthedaily.com/atlanta Lunch or dinner @ Taqueria del Sol - Westside Provisions http://www.taqueriadelsol.com/ Nightcap @ Northside Tavern https://www.northsidetavern.com/

Hotel

Hotel Clermont Atlanta

789 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306

Hotel Clermont would be our top suggestion for a fun base for the weekend in Atlanta. This boutique hotel is walking distance to the Atlanta Beltline - a pedestrian pathway that connects you to Ponce City Market, Cabbagetown, Piedmont Park, Virginia Highlands & all the way to the West End! If staying at Hotel Clermont, Kat recommends: walking to Poncey Highlands for vegan matcha soft serve @ Big Softie https://www.bigsoftieatl.com/location/ponceyhighland/ Taylor recommends: grabbing a southern meal across the street at Eats, where he would get collard greens & cornbread [jerk chicken is famous if that's in your wheelhouse!] https://www.eatsonponce.net/

Train

MARTA

The train won't bring you to our wedding venue, (unless you're hopping a CSX line!) but who said this was supposed to be easy, huh? If you have enough grit, the 12 or 14 Bus both depart from Midtown Station and go through the Westside Provisions District. MARTA train/trolley/bus connections SHOULD be your go to for traveling to/from the airport and getting around town during the weekend. I trust the integrated Google Maps timetables for navigation - just hit that "transit" button. It may not be exceptionally reliable, but it sure beats traffic. Trying to experience the REAL Atlanta, well, this it it. Who knows, maybe you'll make a new friend.
