Flight
There are two Chicagoland airports that are accessible by public transportation as well as by car-- Midway and O'Hare. There are no travel advantages to flying into one or the other. Downtown Chicago is roughly 45 minutes from both airports. We especially recommend taking public transportation (the train) from Midway and O'Hare during rush hour. If you have questions about taking the train -- text Sam or Kat and we can give you the low down (it's very easy and safe.) If you prefer to take a car, we recommend getting a cab from the airport cab line rather than an uber/lyft. It is faster and easier.
Travel Note
There are dozens of fantastic hotels in Chicago. We encourage you to choose a spot that works for you as we are not hosting any events at or near a specific hotel. There are also many great airbnbs! Below are a few recommendations if you need guidance. We recommend choosing a hotel within a few blocks of the Grand Red Line stop in River North. There are many hotels in this area at various price points. This area of River North is well located for both exploring Chicago and using transit for the weekend events. We also recommend the hotels in the Gold Coast neighborhood near Water Tower Place. This area is also well situated for jumping on public transit and exploring the city. Please feel free to ask us about any specific hotel if you have questions!
