U.S Open at Shinnecock Hills

Unfortunately, it was not on our minds to look at major sporting events taking place in the Hamptons the weekend of our wedding and alas, the U.S Open is taking place at Shinnecock Hills that week/weekend. Please be mindful of this and leave plenty of time - and it is highly encouraged to leave as early as possible!!! I know this is not ideal and your effort to be at our wedding does not go unnoticed!! *If you can take the LIRR - we highly encourage you to take the train. Ubers/taxis are easy once you are in Montauk*

Driving Route

The most direct route to Montauk passes right by Shinnecock on Route 27. It is recommended to take the Westhampton exit and use Route 80 East (Montauk Highway) as this is the most southern route possible without using Route 27 and will bypass Shinnecock. You can also take an earlier exit at Shirley ( Exit 58S) and follow Route 80 East (Montauk Highway) from there. As noted, please leave extra time and know it will take longer to get out there!
