FAQ and Deets

The Wedding Website of Kat Johnson and Morgan McGann
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

June 20, please. We're sorry the invites went out so late. Would you believe that planning a wedding is kind of a lot?

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your RSVP option didn't give you an "and guest," and you'd like one, send a note to one of us and we'll see if we can swing it!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

"Cocktail attire with color." Cocktail attire generally means more formal (suits or evening wear), and a Google search will likely explain it better than I can. For color, feel free to wear any of our wedding colors, or just add a pop of your favorite bright color along with a neutral. Please don't wear a white dress, thank you.

Question

Talk to me about accessibility!

Answer

At the Jupiter Club: There is one short set of stairs (like, 2-4) to get from the parking lot to the Eastworks door. The lot has ample parking and handicapped parking. The venue entrance is a short distance from the main doors. The venue is air conditioned and will have seating for everyone at all times — there's no standing cocktail hour. There is a bar in the venue, so water is always available. The Brass Cat: The Cat has its own small parking lot, but on a Friday night likely you will want to street park or be dropped off nearby. There is a stair-free entrance on the Maple Street side. The bar is air conditioned, but not ever very cold. There is a beer garden, too, if weather is nice. Mount Tom: Despite being a literal mountain, the pavilion is very easy to get to by car. If you're Ubering about, we recommend a car pool since the driver will have to go into the state park to drop you off, or being okay with a long walk into the park from Easthampton or Holyoke. Once in the park, there is ample parking near the pavilion. The pavilion should come up on maps, but you can also put in the visitor center if not. There is seating and shade. If you'd like to hike, the trails can be rocky and steep, so wear proper boots.

Question

How do I get around?

Answer

Fair question! If you're driving in or renting a car, you're all set, everything has good free parking. Otherwise, we recommend Uber and Lyft but trying to be early since it can take a bit to find a ride. You can also use public transit, the PVTA, during the day. If you're coming in without a car, feel free to let us know along with where you're staying so we can try to set up some carpools.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony is at 3, so please be comfy before then! We recommend arriving by at least 2:50 to settle in. Doors will likely open around 2.

Question

Is anyone changing their name?

Answer

Kat is going to be "Kat McGann," which is very exciting because there are a shocking number of Kat Johnsons. Morgan will still be "Morgan McGann." Monty will be "Montgomery 'Monty Mole' Montgomery McGann," which is just swell.

Question

Can I give you cute Mrs. and Mrs. merch?

Answer

No :). If you'd like to celebrate this milestone with us in a way that commemorates us becoming a legal unit, you're welcome to address/monogram/call us "The McGanns" or "McGanns, est 2026" or anything like that.

Question

How can I help?

Answer

If you're around Friday during the day and want to help with flowers/decorating/errands or anything, shoot us a text! We accept your offer.
