Georgia Aquarium
If you've never been to the Georgia Aquarium, we HIGHLY recommend taking some time to check it out! Hands down, the Georgia Aquarium is one of the best aquariums in the world. From the whale shark giant tank with an immersive walk-through tunnel to the smallest touch pools, there is so much to see and learn at this iconic Atlanta spot!
Sweetwater Creek State Park
Sweetwater Creek State Park is close to our venue! This park has several lovely trails to take in the views of the creek and the iconic ruins of an old mill. Fun fact: parts of the film Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 were filmed here!
Atlanta Botanical Garden
Nestled next to Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is a lovely experience that integrates nature and art beautifully. Fun fact: during the winter, the Botanical Gardens are decked out with holiday lights!
Piedmont Park
Piedmont Park is in the heart of Midtown, which means that we walked here frequently while we were completing our degrees. There is plenty of space to walk around or throw a frisbee. Fun fact: Katherine's Biology 2 lab was actually held at Piedmont Park!
