Bride
“Kat is as smart and measured as they come (and no, that’s not a joke about her math degree). She never misses a detail and always seems to know the right thing to say. She senses exactly how to reel me in, but more importantly, she knows how to bring me up when I’m feeling down. Meeting Kat is the greatest thing to ever happen to me, and I cannot think of a better life partner for me. She claims my smile makes her happy; however, it’s her happiness that makes me smile.” -Joel
Groom
“Joel is creative and imaginative. He enjoys life and can get anyone to come out of their shell, but is also respectful of other people’s comfort levels. He’s adventurous and is down for any adventure, figuring that if he doesn’t like it, he’s at least given it a shot. Above all, Joel makes me laugh every day. From hearing one of his jokes to even just seeing his giant smile, I’ve never laughed harder with anyone else.” - Kat
Maid of Honor
Lily was Kat's Big in their sorority in college, and from the start, they forged a chaotic bond that could never be broken. Throughout the ups and downs of college life, Lily was always there to talk for hours on the phone, "do homework" with Kat (this usually devolved into sending each other more and more ridiculous memes despite sitting right next to each other), and to be a shoulder for each other to cry on about everything life threw at them.
Best Man
Hiram has been one of Joel’s closest friends for nearly 20 years. They’ve been through everything together: the good, the bad, and the ugly. If either one of them needed the other, they’d be there in a heartbeat. Regardless of time and place, Hiram will always be there for Joel, and Joel for Hiram.
Bridesmaid
Ally and Kat have been friends since ages 11 and 10, respectively, after meeting while attending the same charter school. They both shared a rather strong (and rather embarrassing, in hindsight) affinity for the TV show Glee, as well as for the social media site Tumblr. (They still remind each other of the most cringeworthy posts they each have made on a regular basis.) Their adventures are too numerous to count, but often involve diner food, ridiculous birthday presents and cards for each other, the hit 2001 movie Shrek and its sequels, and above all, endless laughter.
Bridesmaid
Kendra and Kat met in high school through Abi and bonded over shared classes (AP Statistics and AP European History) as well as through National Honor Society, where, along with Abi and another friend, they performed one of the greatest dances ever choreographed to “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones. Before Kendra moved down to the Boston area, she would visit Kat every time she was in Boston, and they had many fun days and nights exploring the city together.
Bridesmaid
(Yes, that’s Kat in the rabbit costume.) Abi and Kat met in high school through mutual friends in the music/theatre department and later grew closer through AP classes and National Honor Society events together. Abi is Kat’s go-to person for foodie adventures, from Ethiopian and Indian restaurants to coffee shop hangouts.
Groomsman
Joseph is the knucklehead of the friend group. If you ever want to have a great time, he’s the guy to call. From the age of 8, having fun was always on Joseph and Joel’s minds when they were together. From playing baseball with a tennis ball on a basketball court to playing Pokémon Go from sundown to sunup, Joseph has never let Joel down when it comes to having a blast.
Groomsman
Dan is the most recent addition to Kat and Joel’s friend sphere, and he’s been nothing but sweet and gracious to both of them. From traveling all the way from Los Angeles to Albuquerque with Lily for the April elopement to playing chauffeur to Lily and Kat during the latter’s most recent visit to LA, Dan has been so supportive and a pleasure to get to know. Plus, he’s got an appreciation for only the finest memes around.
