Travel Note
The easiest way to get to Whidbey Island is by ferry, which departs from Mukilteo. You can either drive or walk onto the ferry. The fare is about $30 for two people in a standard vehicle roundtrip, or $5 roundtrip if you walk on. If you are planning to drive onto the ferry, please be aware that waits for the ferry can be 2-3 hours during the summer and unfortunately, there are no reservations. However, walking onto the ferry gives you priority boarding, and therefore is much less of a wait! Fares, travel times, and other information can be found at the link below. If you like taking the scenic route (and this drive is gorgeous), you can also get to Whidbey Island without a ferry by driving across the Deception Pass bridge on the north end of the island. This takes about 3 hours from Seattle.
Travel Note
Local taxi services can be reached at (360) 341-0203 and (360) 678-6666. Uber and Lyft are supposedly available on the Island, but we've been told their coverage is spotty, so local taxi companies will most likely be a better bet. It is about $15 to get from the Clinton Ferry Terminal to Fireseed Catering. There is ample parking at the venue and we have access to our venue until noon on July 28th, so if you would like to leave your car at the venue overnight and come pick it up the next morning, you are welcome to do so.
Travel Note
There are a wide variety of places to stay on Whidbey Island, including hotels, Bed and Breakfasts, and even camping! Some good options we've found nearby are Comforts of Whidbey Bed and Breakfast (also a winery!), the Inn at Langley, Boatyard Inn, Harbor Inn, and Langley Motel (much cuter than you would think!). You can follow the link below to some further suggestions for accommodations in Langley. AirBnB and VRBO also have a large amount of options. When looking for a place to stay, we recommend Langley, Clinton, or Freeland for closest proximity to our venue. The summer months are a busy time on Whidbey, so we recommend booking early.
Travel Note
If you are coming to Whidbey Island straight from the airport, there is a Sea-Tac to Whidbey Island shuttle! It is about $85 roundtrip, and does include the ferry fare. Follow the link for schedules and reservations.
