We met in February 2022 on Hinge. Kat was living in Seattle at the time but visiting her sister and meeting her new niece in Austin when they matched on the app. Kat and Court started chatting. Pretty soon in the conversation, Court said they were actually going to be visiting Seattle that summer for a good friend’s ordination as a Jesuit priest. Interestingly enough, Kat also happened to have a good friend from college getting ordained as a priest that summer. Turns out, it was the same friend! Thus began the easy connection and joy that is the hallmark of Court and Kat’s relationship. After the ordination, we spent 3 fun days together, including a day on Lake Union in a hot tub boat! Kat moved to Austin in September 2022 and bought a house. Court, Kat, and their two cats moved in together in June and got engaged in November. Kat is now a full-on cat mom, and the cats love her dearly; all of this makes Court so happy! We are getting married in April 2024, during wild flower season in Central Texas!
