We're getting married!

Brendan and Kassy's love story began in the 6th grade. At orientation, Brendan's mother, Julie, leaned over and whispered to Brendan, "Look Brendan, she is so cute!" The two quickly became good friends, and even "dated" for two days, but ended it because they didn't want to ruin their friendship. Fast forward to 10th grade, when things started to heat up! Brendan and Kassy shared the same chemistry class, and he knew she was a smarty pants, so he frequently called her for "help with homework." The two both agree that this was the turning point for them; they both liked one another, but were both too afraid to admit it. "Until God opens the next door, praise Him in the hallway." God opened the door between Brendan and Kassy once again in 12th grade. They become best friends. Everyone knew these two were in love, but let's face it- they're both stubborn. Since high school graduation they have been by each others side - through every victory and every hurdle. Now they have been together for almost five years, and are living proof of the work of fate; what is meant to be, will be, and these two were destined to be together!

Keeping secrets from Kassy is pretty much impossible, so we all knew we would need her to plan her own proposal- but how? Growing up, Kassy and Chelsea frequently discussed getting married and what they would want to happen. 1. Must ask family for permission 2. Professional photographer - to capture the moment 3. Nails must be done Brendan and Chelsea began to discuss how to make this work. Then BOOM, Chelsea figured it out! Chelsea began talking about what to get their mom for Christmas - family pictures. Kassy agreed. Little did she know this was going to be her big moment. Things began to fall into place. The photographer was scheduled and on board with the proposal. The location was set - Kassy and Brendan had property, where they would soon build their home. Brendan's family was invited to participate in the pictures- Nana, Papa, Julie, and Vince. Permission was granted by all members of the family, outfits picked out, and of course, nails done. The day started out as planned. Brendan's family took their pictures first. Kassy still had NO clue what was about to happen. Brendan had set up a mailbox and a bench at the location where they would build their home. Brendan and his Papa's relationship was really special, and he knew he wanted to include him in this special moment. So he wrote a letter to his Papa. Brendan and his Papa sat on the bench while Brendan read the letter. Tears were flowing - from everyone. The letter was truly heartwarming. Then it happened. Brendan reached in Papa's jacket and pulled out Kassy's dream ring. Brendan proposed to Kassy - and she, of course, said YES!
