Travel Note

If you live on the East Coast, we recommend driving!

The wedding weekend will take place in and around Boothbay Harbor, Maine, which is a coastal town one hour north of Portland, Maine. If you are coming from the NYC area or elsewhere on the East Coast, we recommend driving.

Flight

You can fly into Portland International Jetport or Boston Logan International Airport

If you are flying in, we recommend the Portland airport (Portland International Jetport or PWM), which is about an hour south of the wedding weekend. If you can't get a flight there, you can fly into Boston. Either way, if you fly in, we recommend renting a car to get to Boothbay Harbor. If you don't want to rent a car, you can either use the spreadsheet explained below to get a ride from another wedding guest or get a taxi (two companies we know listed below).

Catch or offer a ride!

If you are driving through Portland on the way to the wedding or flying in and need a ride, use the attached spreadsheet to coordinate rides! We would really appreciate anyone driving to offer rides if you have free spots in your car. If you're flying in, you can rent your own car or consult this spreadsheet to try to find a ride. Bobo's Coastal Cabs (207-380-4182) and Twin Village Taxi (207-380-0050) are based in/near Boothbay Harbor and do airport runs. We'll update this page with May 2026 rates when they come out.

Stay within walking distance of Boothbay Harbor

We hope most guests will stay at our two main hotels, listed below. They are next door to each other, a short walk from all restaurants and bars, and where the buses will pick guests up from on the wedding day. If you want to stay elsewhere, keep in mind that the area doesn't have any public transportation, Ubers, or Lyfts, so the most important thing when picking an accommodation is making sure you are within walking distance of the harbor.

Boothbay Harbor Inn

This is one of our two recommended accommodations, which are right next door to each other on the harbor. This is a slightly lower price point, and each room accommodates 1-4 people. Some rooms are pet-friendly. Buses will pick guests up to drive them to our venue at the parking lot in between the two hotels. When you fill out your personal information to confirm your booking, write "Kassie and Mike's Wedding" under "Additional Guest Details - Reservation Notes." This is one of our two recommended accommodations, which are right next door to each other on the harbor. This is a slightly higher price point, and each room accommodates 1-2 people (one king bed per room).
