As kids Kassidy and Robert were involved with gymnastics. Although, they didn’t meet when they were first learning how to flip and roll Kassidy and Robert were lucky enough to meet while teaching the next generation of gymnasts. Their first job in high school was coaching gymnastics, and in the summer of 2016 Kassidy and Robert spent every day working side by side letting their friendship grow. Robert would show off and do cool flips and Kassidy would watch in awe but little did she know this is when her crush started blooming. They went on their first date at the end of the summer and went out to eat at Art and Jakes. They continued to date and went to school dances together but then Kassidy left for college and they separated for a few months. Kassidy and Robert eventually found their way back together and continued to date through college.

In December, It was the last week of college, for Kassidy, she was finishing up a paper and a presentation when Robby called and told her they were going to take family Christmas pictures with his family. Kassidy was so stressed out but went and got ready. While she was getting ready she got a text from their previous boss (Marsha) from American Gymnastics that she was at the gym and that Kassidy should stop by to say hi. In Kassidy’s mind, that was perfect because the gym was on the way to Robbys house and she couldn’t pass up an opportunity to see Marsha. Marsha told Kassidy and Robert to go through the back door of the gym because it was unlocked. Kassidy and Robert walked through the door and around the corner when Kassidy heared music playing (Big, Big Plans by Chris Lane) and she saw roses making a path into a heart with the words “Marry Me” in lights. Kassidy started crying immediately especially when Robert got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Robby made it the most special moment ever and he also had his mom taking pictures and recorded the whole thing!
