In 2021, Kass and John met at a bon fire. This wasnt any old bon fire. This bon fire Kass was freshly 21 and enjoying a few too many beers. We all know that Kass can burp, and this caught John's attention. Fast forward a couple weeks to Super Bowl 2021, Chiefs won, and Kass got a foot massage from John. A little too much whiskey and little too much tequila later, they exchanged phone numbers. The foot massage is what started it all. They began seeing each other for about a month before John got called away back to the army. Within that month Kass fell HARD for John and had told her roommates at the time she was going to marry him someday. She stated this even though John swore to her up and down he would never date again.

For the next 3 years, they would keep in touch off and on. Doing the whole, hows life, how are you, whats new, catch up texts. This went on just about every 6 to 8 months on the dot. September of 2023, John reached out to Kass after about 8 months of no contact, per usual, apologizing for how he had left things 2 and a half years ago. Fast forward to December and Kass made her move. She told John she would be interested in exploring their relationship again.

John was making chicken carbonara when he told Kass "I love you" for the first time. Kass was obviously in tears as she had been waiting 3 years to hear those words from him. 2024 was filled with camping, horse adventures, and the teasing that there was a ring coming.

January 1, 2025 12:01am, John asked Kass "Will you be my wife". The tears and excitement filled the house and even the dogs were excited too! A few too many whiskeys as usual and sore faces from smiling so much, Kass and John were set to be married. 2025 was the year we moved into our camper on to our land, brought the horses home, introduced a new horse to the herd, a new puppy to the family, and continued to adventure in the mountains. We are loving building our life together and are so excited for our future. What a story to continue.
