a day to remember

Our story begins in the summer of 2020, the year we both were getting ready to start as freshman at UAB. Kassidy had come across Jeffrey’s “About Me” post on a UAB Class of 2024 social media page. Jeffrey’s post had instantly caught her eye and Kassidy had decided then that she wanted to know more about who this young man was. Fast forward to our second semester of school, we had been friends for almost 6 months when Jeffrey decided on a whim to invite Kassidy to a friends birthday party. Suddenly, what had always been a friendly relationship, started to turn into something more. We seemed to instantly click that night into something neither of us expected. After that night, we were practically inseparable, spending time together almost every day whether it was doing schoolwork, playing board games, or just enjoying each others company. Though we had not made anything official yet, we both knew something was special about us. We went on our first “official” date in February of 2021. The date had been going very well with the usual nice dinner and then a drive to get dessert when, to Kassidy’s surprise, Jeffrey had decided to take her to meet his parents. To anyone else, this may have been a bit alarming, but Kassidy didn’t see it that way. Both of us, even though it was early on in our relationship, were confident that things felt right. After many expected highs and lows, we have made it to where we are now through the strength of our love for one another, the help of our amazing friends and family, and most importantly our relationship with God, both individually and as a unit. We will be forever grateful for every hand that has touched our relationship and every blessing God has placed on our lives and are beyond excited to share this monumental moment in our lives with our closest family and friends.
