Can Marcer de la Penya (Our Villa)
This is the villa where the celebration will take place. Google Maps coordinates: 41.271993 1.798200 GPS coordinates: 41°16'19.2"N 1°47'53.5"E It's off the beaten path, so we recommend using Google or GPS coordinates. We rented this 10-bedroom, 9-bathroom villa/venue for the wedding week (10/08/23-10/15/23). It sleeps 26. It has a private heated pool, a game room, a grilling area, a cabana bar, and views for days. Here's a link to many Airbnb's in the Sitges area for the week of 10/08/2023-10/15/2023. Please edit your search how you see fit. There are tons of beautiful properties that aren't a ton of money. If you're traveling with a large group and making a vacation out of it (i.e. families with children), we recommend getting a small villa and maybe even renting a car for the family to get around in. Sitges isn't a bustling metropolis, so don't worry too much about driving anxiety. Travel Note
Flights
We recommend flying into Barcelona (BCN), as it is the closest airport to Sitges. From Can Marcer de la Penya (our villa/venue), it's about a 30-minute drive.
Train
Renfe
Renfe is similar to Amtrak. There are three main train stations in Barcelona where you can board a train to Sitges: Estació de França, Passeig de Gràcia, and Estació Sants. Trains leave approximately every 20 minutes and the ride is about 30 minutes. The names you should be looking for on departure boards and trains are: Vilanova i la Geltru or St. Vincenç de Calders. If you're lost, there are plenty of nice locals and station operators you can ask. A one-way ticket is €4.10 and you can pay with credit card at the station (can't book online).
Travel Note
Taxi
Taxi Sitges. There is (currently) no Uber or Lyft in Sitges. We recommend downloading the app Taxi Més or saving their number +34 93 894 1329. Their drivers know the city very well, and they all take credit card. A ride from the center of Sitges to Can Marcer is about 15 EUR. Note: tipping isn't necessary nor is it customary.
Rental Car
Rental Cars
You can easily do without a car rental, but if you'd like one we suggest you know how to drive a stick shift! Hertz (linked), Europcar, Goldcar, and Sixt are all good choices.
