Kass and Alic 2024

Chris brought Alic and Chellbie into the Morris’s lives in 2013. The first time they met was at the Morris’s house in Olathe in February.

Through out the years they would often play games like Nurtz or nuts or golf whatever you call it 😂😂😂 ,they jumped on the trampoline, played basketball, and spent many weekends together. As they spent time together it was clear to everyone that they liked each other through competitive jests and glances everyone could see. They spent many years liking each other, but being so young there were many years ahead.

They started talking to each other when Alic asked for help with his mom’s birthday cake because Kass liked to bake. Hesitant at first Kass went into this knowing she would not like him again he was too young for her. They had fun making this cake together Alic was very funny and even made a video impersonating a scene from the terminator. They continued talking for awhile and Kassadee was sure she didn’t like him for a week. After that Kassadee found herself looking forward to him texting her everyday. They talked off and on until Alic moved to Aurora in 2021. They knew it was getting more serious so they decided not to talk for a while and taking time to pray about their futures. after a few weeks they resumed right where they left off. Alic moved to Aurora for a year and then attended lineman school coming back often to visit.

In May that year Alic came down to visit for Memorial Day weekend. That Sunday he asked her to be his girlfriend officially and the next day they went on their first date to looney bean for coffee. Alic brought her flowers and they sat for hours talking. In June they met half way in Glenwood for a date walking along the river walk. They continued to meet once a month for dates until Alic finally moved back in January 2023.

Alic was in Montrose and the two spent every day together as much as they could outside of work. They would go on walks or to the movies, go to Grand Junction, Kassadee and Alic’s parents houses or on occasion places like Crystal Mills, the Monument, Red Mountain hot springs off the side of the road, Black Canyon, Pikes Peak, and Ouray hot springs. They enjoy doing everything together.

Several years later...........(in the SpongeBob voice) ......They knew at this point it was just a matter of timing. Alic and Kassadee were praying a lot about their future and were ready for the next step. Alic had taken his mom to get a ring in October 2023. He was planning the perfect time to surprise her and she was expectant at that point and Alic wanted to pray and make sure the timing was good. Alic saw an opportunity when they were headed to Denver in April 2024 for a concert for one of their favorite bands. On the way there to Denver Alic stopped at a rest stop and Kassadee was suspicious she thought "outside Glenwood Springs along the same river walk they took a couple years prior?", but his nerves got the best of him, he did not purpose that time but on the way back he took her by surprise because he didn’t purpose when she had thought. It was perfect!!!

Now we're anticipating the wonderful trip we are able to take in October working and planning through it all has brought its challenges, but we are growing closer every day.
