Austin Trail of Lights
The Austin Trail of Lights is an annual light display in Zilker Park. I have gone almost every year as a Christmas tradition. Family friendly and a great way to spend an evening in the heart of Austin! **Due to COVID the Trail of Lights is drive-thru only this year! Car passes can be purchased on their website.**
Georgetown Lighting of the Square
More Christmas lights! This is Downtown Georgetown's light display. A nice place to walk around, fun shops, and good food.
South Congress Avenue
SoCo (or South Congress) is an area of Austin that is fun to walk around and visit different shops. Check out the famous “I love you so much” wall at Jo’s Coffee, grab a scoop of Mexican Vanilla at Amy’s Ice Cream, or try on some new cowboy boots at Allen’s Boot Shop!
Ice Skating on the Plaza
Ice skating on the roof of Whole Foods Market is a holiday season highlight in Austin! Skate rental and access to the rink is $10 per person. It can get crowded, so if your heart is set on ice skating, another great place is Chaparral Ice at 2525 W Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78757
South Fork Fun Food & Brew
A great outdoor food truck park with covered picnic tables and something for everyone! They usually have some sort of live music going on Thurs. - Sun. and post their music and events on their Facebook page. Great for a quick bite, full meal, or some post wedding snackage ;) It's right down the road from our venue!
