It was 3:00am, we climbed out of our sleeping bags and hit the road determined to beat the sun up. We were at my family's annual camp-out and Eddie really wanted to catch the sunrise at some overlook. Me sleepy, oblivious and a tad grumpy hadn't even bothered to change out of my PJ's. When we reached the overlook we found a rock to sit on and patiently waited for the sun to join us. As the sun rose and shined down into the gorge the sight around us was breathtaking, and I had to admit it was worth the early-morning effort. Eddie began telling me how much he loved me and why, and it wasn't until I heard his voice crack did I realize what was happening. He pulled a box from his pocket and opened it up to the most beautiful, unique ring I have ever seen. What more could I say than, "yes".
