We're getting married!

Before we ever met, I already knew of Jackson. When I was in 8th grade, my best friend, who had just started high school would constantly talk about how cute this guy was. A year later, she moved to Port Angeles, Washington, and I started high school… never realizing that the guy she always talked about would soon become my forever. We officially met in 2018 when I was a freshman and Jackson was a junior. It took me a little while to put two and two together, but yes, he was that guy. At the time, Jackson was grounded, so for the first few months of talking, we emailed each other (no, not in 1971… we just had to improvise). On December 4, 2018, we started dating, and from that moment on, we became inseparable. We instantly became best friends, growing together, laughing together, crying together, and walking through life hand in hand. Over the years, our love deepened, our faith grew stronger, and God remained at the center of our story every step of the way. Fast forward seven years, Jackson’s cousin and her husband moved to Washington, and we decided to visit them. Little did we know, they lived just an hour away from the same best friend who had unknowingly started our story all those years ago. Even more special, my dream was to get proposed to at Hurricane Ridge, so much so that it was written in my journal for proof. Jackson had no idea, but God did! Just two days before the proposal, Hurricane Ridge was closed due to an investigation after a mountain lion attack. But on July 22, 2025, the park reopened. Caitlyn wanted to show us Hurricane Ridge and asked to take couple photos of us to grow her photography portfolio, completely unaware of Jackson’s plans. With the mountains behind us and God’s timing in every detail, Jackson got down on one knee and asked the biggest question of my life. The moment was captured by my childhood best friend, the very one who had talked about him all those years ago. Truly full circle. God has been present in every chapter of our story, guiding us, protecting us, and walking with us from the very beginning. Without Him, none of this would be possible. Now, we are so excited to begin this next chapter together and can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives side by side.
