It all started the first week of freshman year at Saint Joseph's University when we were together in chemistry class. Being Catholic, studying biology, and both playing college soccer, we quickly connected over our similar interests and became close friends. Throughout college, we spent many late nights in the library studying until 4 am, attended mass weekly together, and often spent time hanging out with each other's soccer teams. Right at the end of college, God finally revealed His plan for us. We spent Easter together with Kasia's family in Virginia, where we grew closer as it became evident how similar our family values were. Before we knew it, we started planning fun dates for each other as we finished out our final year of college. On the last day before Daniel returned to California, he asked Kasia to be his girlfriend on May 25th, 2021. Our budding relationship was then tested with one year of long distance while Kasia did a year of service in Syracuse and Daniel took MBA classes while playing a 5th year of soccer at SJU. Nevertheless, our relationship had a strong foundation centered around God, and we grew to love each other even more. Shortly before Christmas, after applying to medical school, we found out 5 minutes apart that we both got accepted into Loma Linda School of Medicine. The first two years of medical school presented us with many challenges, but we continued to grow closer as we leaned on each other and God for support during trying times. During our 3rd year, on July 6th, 2024, we went to a scenic apple orchard filled with white mountain flowers and Daniel packed a picnic full of food from all the countries we had traveled to. Then an unexpected visitor in a handsome tux, named Kylo the Goldendoodle, brought out a letter on his collar with the words "Will you Marry Me?" And the surprises didn't stop there. We then went to the beach where both of our families were waiting to celebrate with us. We are so excited to celebrate this day with each and every one of you, knowing how much you mean to us. Love, Kasia & Daniel
