Kasia & Cobie grew up in the same neighborhood and went to the same schools growing up, but officially met at the high school ministry of NorthStar Church where they both served and led worship.

After high school, their lives went in different directions… until Kasia joined a Bible study that Cobie was in. After years, they were back in the same circle.. and spending LOTS of time together.

Cobie asks Kasia out on a date one Monday night after rock climbing with their friends. Kasia tells Cobie to ask her again in a few months.

4 months pass and Cobie takes Kasia out on a first date to Pho and Ice Cream. They had a great time but decided not to pursue anything further (as one of the two was more invested than the other- we won't say who hehe).

Two months later, they try again and go on a hiking date! Once again, they decide not to pursue anything further (spoiler: the same one was less invested than the other.. again).

After the last 9 months of back and forth, the one got a grip on *her* heart and confessed *her* feelings. But this time? The other decided not to pursue anything (cue the dramatic plot twist).

Kasia & Cobie went on a mission trip to Mozambique, Africa with a group from Dwelling Place Young Adults. Serving side by side, they quickly became inseparable — and everyone else could see it too.

After 5 months of Kasia trying to get over Cobie (and failing) and Cobie realizing he couldn't shake his feelings for Kasia, they took time to process, pray, and seek wise counsel once they got home from Mozambique. After nearly a year and a half and giving it three separate shots, the two realized they just could not shake each other. They were (finally) on the same page at the same time, with mutual feelings, desires, and interest. Cobie took Kasia to the Georgia Aquarium (he knew the way to her heart) on their first date? Third date? Who's counting?

The moment everyone had been waiting for (literally) - Kasia & Cobie finally became an official couple on August 19, 2024!

After a year of love, joy, growth, and grace, Cobie asked Kasia to marry him on July 26, 2025. She said YES (obviously), and the rest is just the beginning ;)
