This is the story of how I met Lue, I was 14 or 15 somewhere around that young age and we were at a church conference. I was in the sanctuary with my church and the doors opened and he caught my eye, with his blonde highlight in his dark brown hair. I never believed in love at first sight but that day I did. He was the only guy who made me feel that way. After the conference I told myself to talk to him. Luckily, I had a friend who Lue was talking to so I thought to myself, "this is my chance to talk to him" (Thank you ChueYee.) I went up to the two and said Hi to Chueyee then turned and said hi to Lue; and began to introduce myself to him. He told me his name was Lue Xiong. Me, being the young dumb girl I was, I didn't know Lue at the time but I proceeded to talk to him. Later during that week, I told my mom about this Lue Xiong and told her that she had to meet him. So that day when we were all outside eating noodle cups I saw him and introduced my mom and told her this is The Lue Xiong. We were all talking and my mom asked him who his parents were and then she realize that he was not a Xiong, she called him out and said, "you're not a hmong Xiong, you're a Thao." His real name was Lue Thao. That is how I met Lue.
