FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Kindly RSVP for your entire party by Saturday, September 6th. If we don’t receive a reply by that date, we will consider your invitation declined.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at 3:00 pm to get a drink and find your seat. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 pm with reception to follow.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to space limitations, we cannot accommodate additional guests outside of those listed on your wedding invitation.

Question

Can I bring my child?

Answer

With respect, while we love your little ones, we have decided to have our wedding be an Adult Only occasion, with the exception of a few older children whom have been formally invited. On your invitation, if your child is specifically listed on the envelope along with your name, they are welcome! If they are not on the invite, unfortunately we won't be able to accommodate them. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to celebrate with us on our big day!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we are asking our guests to dress up with us! For men, long-sleeve button-down shirts with slacks, a jacket and tie, or a traditional suit are appropriate. For women, floor-length or midi-length dresses or skirts, or dress pants. We do ask that women NOT wear black, please! Please keep in mind that the wedding is indoor/outdoor.

Question

Is there parking on site?

Answer

Yes, parking is available on the right-hand side of Marvin Rd, just beyond the entrance to the venue. Please do not park directly in front of the venue gate as vendors/facilities will be set up in that area.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

To allow our guests to be fully in the moment with us, our ceremony will be "unplugged". Meaning that we are asking for personal devices to be put away during the ceremony. We have TWO wonderful photographers and are more than happy to share those photos with you afterwards. At the reception, however, we encourage everyone to take photos and to please share those with us as you're able!

Question

Can I smoke on the property?

Answer

Smoking is permitted only in the designated area. Cigarette butts MUST be disposed of in the appropriate container. Smoking, vaping, and the use of E-Cigarettes or other smoking devices are strictly prohibited inside the Black Barn, RV, bathrooms, and all other buildings. Please also be respectful of other guests.
