Our story all started with mutual friends, a little luck, and a lot of Facetimes. Nick had been not-so-subtly asking his friends, Tori and Noah, to introduce him to Kasey. Tori and Kasey were in grad school together, and Noah and Nick knew each other from undergrad at Auburn. Eventually, Tori and Noah gave in to the pressure and orchestrated the perfect setup. Our worlds collided on a 4th of July weekend in 2022 while out at cocktails with Noah and Tori. You could call it a double date, or just a very well-planned friend intervention. At the time, Nick lived in Birmingham and Kasey was in Nashville, so we did the whole long-distance thing (with lots of FaceTimes and weekend trips). That lasted until November 2022, when Nick moved to Nashville and we finally got to live in the same city. In October of 2024, while on vacation in Sicily, Nick pulled off the ultimate surprise. He secretly rented out a palazzo in Palermo, Sicily named Casa Florio, popped the question, and she said yes—somewhere between total shock and total joy (and maybe after double-checking the view was real). These days, you can find us walking Bodhi, making margaritas and espresso martinis, hunting for gluten-free-friendly restaurants (Nick pretending to suffer alongside Kasey), and cheering on the Preds, Titans, or Nashville SC. We're all about coffee in the morning, wine at night, and laughter in between. We may not agree on everything (especially pizza crust), but we agree that life is better together. We can’t wait to celebrate our next chapter with all of you!
