FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

To help us with our planning, please RSVP as soon as possible. The deadline to RSVP is August 1st, 2025. We'll need to provide final numbers to our vendors shortly after, and we won't be able to make exceptions if we don't receive your response in time.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate a certain amount of guests. If you are able to bring a plus one, you will see that noted when you go to RSVP on the website.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

We'll miss you dearly! If you can't attend, please let us know as soon as you can by RSVPing with a 'no' so we can plan accordingly. Your love and support mean the world to us, whether you're there in person or cheering us on from afar.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, our wedding is exclusively for adults, with the exception of some immediate family who are a part of our wedding party. We hope you'll enjoy the evening as a well-deserved night out!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We always love seeing our friends and family dressed up! While formal attire is encouraged, it is not required. The ceremony and dinner will be outdoors, so choose shoes that won't sink in the grass and outfits you will be comfortable celebrating in! The bridal party will be wearing desert rose (a soft mix between mauve and muted blush).

Question

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes, weather permitting (it's going to be perfect) there will be a lot to do outside, including the ceremony and dinner. Please make sure to dress appropriately!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. Gates to the property will open at 3pm, and we kindly ask that you arrive at least 20 minutes before the ceremony so you have time to park, find a seat, and take it all in. Please note: In the spirit of keeping the moment special, guests who arrive after the ceremony has begun will be asked to wait until it has concluded before entering the property.

Question

What food will be provided?

Answer

We are having Mission BBQ cater our wedding, buffet style. They are providing brisket, chicken, mac-n-cheese, baked beans, collard greens and cornbread! We will also have appetizers for cocktail hour and sweet treats after dinner.

Question

Is it open bar?

Answer

Yes, we will have beer, wine and signature drinks to keep you hydrated! We will also have plenty of soft drinks, plus sweet tea and lemonade!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be silenced and put away. We'd love for everyone to be fully present as we say "I do," and we know our talented photographer and videographer will capture every moment. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like and share the joy!

Question

Are there any hotel blocks or lodging recommendations?

Answer

We do not have any hotel blocks reserved, but there are plenty of Airbnb, VRBOs and hotels nearby in both Shelbyville and Louisville. If you need specific information/recommendations to find the perfect place, please text us and we will be happy to help out!

Question

Is transportation provided?

Answer

There will not be transportation provided to or from the venue. However, there is plenty of parking on-site and Uber and Lyft running locally. We recommend coordinating a ride in advance, especially if you'll be enjoying a cocktail!
