FAQs

Question

"Which airport should I fly into?"

Answer

We recommend our guests flying in from outside of the UK fly into Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) as it is closest to the wedding location.

Question

"Can I fly into a different airport?"

Answer

We really encourage flights into LBA, however Manchester Airport (MAN) is a good second choice, though it is about 90minutes-2hrs away from the wedding location. Please DO NOT fly into London Heathrow Airport (LHR) - it is over 6 hours away!

Question

"What documents do I need to travel to the UK?"

Answer

A passport and an ETA. Please obtain your passport no later than 3 months before travel as it may take time for your passport to deliver! The ETA we recommend obtaining no later than a month before travel.

Question

"What is the dress-code for the wedding?"

Answer

We're getting married in a castle(!!), so this is your chance to dress like royalty! Formal attire is kindly encouraged. Think suits, dresses, or your most elegant outfit fit for a castle celebration!

Question

"When should I arrive to the venue?"

Answer

The ceremony is at 1pm, we recommend arriving 45-60 minutes before to find seating so we can begin on time.

Question

"When do I need to RSVP by?"

Answer

We kindly request all RSVPs are provided before June 30th, 2026 to allow ample time for the venue to prepare for our arrival.

Question

"As an American, how do I get around the area?"

Answer

For our American guests, we recommend renting a car, as Ubers and taxis can get quite expensive. However, we understand it might be daunting driving on the opposite side of the road, and also recommend the train system as it is very easy to maneuver.

Question

"When should I get to the UK?"

Answer

If you are traveling abroad, we recommend arriving at least 3 days before the wedding to allow time to rest. Jet lag is real!

Question

"Will there be food at the wedding?"

Answer

There will be canapes after the ceremony, a four course meal, a wedding cake, and an evening buffet with warm snacks and desserts to choose from. Don't worry! You will be amply fed!

Question

"Will there be drinks at the wedding?"

Answer

There will be free flowing champagne and Kir Royales, as well as half a bottle of wine at dinner and champagne toast for our guests that enjoy alcohol, and an elderberry lemon mocktail for our guests who do not partake. There will also be 2 full bars where cocktails and beers can be purchased throughout the night until 12:30am. Soda is free for the kiddos throughout the night!

Question

"Can we spend the night at the castle?"

Answer

Yes! However room availability is limited, and is on a first come first serve basis. Please reach out to Kasey (kagilbert97@gmail.com) for the link. If you don't get to stay at the castle, look at our travel page for hotel recommendations in the area!
