Growing up, Mason and Kasey were familiar faces from camp and mutual friends, their paths crossing occasionally but always without conversation. About a year ago, Mason reached out by following Kasey on Instagram, leading her to message him and ask if he would save her a seat at church so she wouldn't be alone when she visited. From that initial connection, a friendship blossomed, and now, wherever life takes them, they always make it a point to save a seat for each other.
Mason and Kasey's engagement unfolded unexpectedly during what seemed like a casual day together. Enjoying coffee at Lucabe while grading papers, Mason gently guided Kasey into a stroll through back alleys, heading to a supposed lunch reservation. Little did Kasey know as they approached Viewpoint bookstore was a beautifully arranged table, adorned with signs and flowers—an artistic surprise turning an ordinary day into a memorable proposal. They ended the proposal by writing their names in chalk, a tradition of theirs every time they pass Viewpoint.
