It all started about 9 years ago in the glamorous dorms of Ferris State University — Vandercook Hall, to be exact. We technically lived in the same building freshman year, but let’s be real: Kasadey was on the cool floor, and Garett… was not. So our paths didn’t really cross much unless we were both getting toilet paper from the front desk at the same time. Fast forward to sophomore year: we were both lurking around the Automotive Center (being anxious and stressed a lot of the time), and by Garett’s junior year in 2018, we were pretty much always hanging out in our friend group having the best time— surrounded by an incredible group of friends and surviving on a steady diet of project cars, pizza box games, and questionable sleep schedules when we weren’t helping each other study (for mostly Airflow or Dyno class… you understand the trauma if you took these classes). Then, during Thanksgiving break 2018, Garett decided it was finally time to make his move — via Snapchat, of course (as all modern love stories begin). We had our first date over gloriously messy Schuberg’s burgers in Big Rapids, and officially started dating on December 14th, 2018. From there, we did what every 20-something power couple does: internships, cross-state visits, and working brewery shifts. After Garett graduated, he headed to Asheville, and Kasadey survived her final semester while missing him — and everyone else who had already flown the Big Rapids coop. Then came 2020: Kasadey got her degree, Garett landed a job with GM, we moved in together in Howell, MI, and welcomed our first pet: a beta fish named Samuel L. Jackswim. He was short-lived, but deeply loved. Soon after, our sweet kitty Gracie joined the crew and promoted us to real pet parents. Since then, we’ve: • Moved into our current home in Clarkston • Adopted our adorable chaos boy, Lynyrd 🐾 • Bought (and sold) an excessive amount of cars • Turned the drift car into a drift MACHINE • Acquired a small fleet of motorcycles and dirt bikes • And most importantly… got engaged on December 14th, 2024 — exactly SIX YEARS from when we first started dating! ❤️ We’ve been through a lot together — loud engines, late nights, long drives, and even longer to-do lists — but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. We’re so excited to be starting this next chapter: getting married (!!) and celebrating with all our closest friends and family. Thank you dearly for being part of our story.
