Karyn and Taylor met in 2018 at the University of Utah. Taylor was in his 3rd and last year of becoming a doctor of physical therapy and Karyn was starting her first year. After Karyn’s roommate played wing woman and Cupid, Karyn befriended Taylor on Facebook and made the first move with a slide into his DMs. A park date, then non stop baseball watching over fall break was the start of something great… even though Taylor had no intention of starting something serious. Little did he know, he was hanging out with a persistent girl who knew what the future held because on that first park date, she knew he was the one. After long distance for 2.5 years Karyn graduated then joined Taylor in his hometown of Boise to start their new life together as physical therapists. They enjoy going to local breweries, hiking/trail running, camping, game nights, traveling, going to concerts and of course cheering on the Broncos. After living in Boise together for 1.5 years they purchased their first house in Spring 2022!

After closing on their first house, Karyn and Taylor wanted to get photos taken to be framed in their new house. Taylor was suspiciously pushing for a professional photographer but Karyn suggested their good friend Jake Hatfield to take their photos (shoutout, he did amazing). To limit suspicion Taylor let it go and little did Karyn know, she was planning her whole engagement. Karyn's family was visiting, per usual, and Taylor knew it was the "Wright" time to pop the question because of how important Karyn's family means to her. As photos were being taken at the beautiful Boise Train Depot, Taylor got down on one knee behind Karyn's back and attempted to pop the question when Karyn rattled off a sassy comment before realizing what was going on behind her. It was then an "absolutely" from Karyn!
