We’re getting married!

Lu and I met in August of 2021 at Planet Fitness in Flemington, NJ. We’d seen each other quite a few times and exchanged smiles and good mornings, but one day Lu noticed I had made my way to an “abs and stretch” area at the back of the gym where I would have to pass a bunch of ab machines to eventually leave. He sat on one of those ab machines and did at least 200 crunches before I had finally finished stretching and almost passed him on my way out, but he was able to stop me and ask if he’d be able to get to know me outside the gym. I asked him what he was doing the following day and when he said he didn't have plans I told him I'd meet him at the gym so we could work out together. Our first date was the following day, at Planet Fitness, where we did arms together.

In February 2024 we took our second trip together to Costa Rica. We spent the first couple days visiting Lu’s family and then visited the Westin in Playa Conchal. We went out to eat at the Manglar restaurant in the resort and had a beautiful table outside next to a fountain. We had just finished eating our dinner and while we were waiting for dessert it seemed like Lu had asked one of the servers to take a picture of us with my phone. As I’m getting ready to take a picture, I noticed Lu taking his phone out. I was confused for a couple seconds until I heard “Beautiful Crazy” by Luke Combs playing. He got down on one knee and I said yes!
