It all started one random day in leadership clinical, not the hospital kind due to our professor not having privileges at a hospital yet, the one in a small conference room where we all sat around the table to discuss who knows what. We didn't interact the first day or even the second or third, but one day out of the blue Ismael sat in front of Karyn during class that day. He made sly comments about what she had to say told her “you're clearly dating the wrong men” when she said something about guys not being faithful. She made fun of him for being in the bottom 8 percent of UWorld (our NCLEX prep course) calling him Mr.8 percent. He played it oh so smooth when Karyn got her ipad and apple pencil out saying “oh I've never used the apple pencil before can I try it” and wrote all over a random page she had open. Time went on and they only spoke in class and passing by, until the most important day for their relationship happened, cath lab. Ismael was actually never supposed to be in the cath lab that day of clinical, he left the floor he was on after lunch to try and talk to Karyn. Little did both of them know that was the decision that would lead them to this day. Ismael stayed with Karyn in cath lab and during a procedure they were supposed to be watching from behind the glass was when the sparks started flying. Some time went on again until one day Ismael finally asked Karyn out on a date and the rest is history.
