Solomon Lake
One of our favorite mountain lakes! It's a gorgeous, quiet lake spot that also provides some light fishing. If you're up for this one, prepare for a few unpaved roads up in the woods and bring your bear spray. This one is truly tucked away in the mountainous woods but worth the trip!

Another great lake walk spot!
Pack River
Look for the local swimming holes along Highway 2 and the Pack River. You'll find a great spot near Blue Heron Cafe & Samuel Store.

Sandpoint City Beach Park
We recommend taking a stroll around the Sandpoint beach if staying in Sandpoint or Ponderay! The views of Lake Pend Oreille are worth a stroll, there are swimming spots for the kids and beach area, room for basketball, or football and soccer.
