Our story begins with a simple glance—a moment when Jessica, curious and intrigued, stumbled upon George’s profile. A quiet click, a flicker of interest, and the seed was planted. When George saw the profile visitor, he was drawn to reach out. Something in that instant made him eager, and so began the dance of words, back and forth, a conversation that flowed as if we’d known each other for lifetimes. The connection was undeniable, too deep for words, yet we tried, weaving through digital threads until the time came for our first video call. What began as a spark quickly grew into a flame, and with each call, the fire burned brighter. But life, as it does, shifted. George made the bold decision to leave Wisconsin and return to Arizona, a new chapter unfolding, yet the distance between us stretched again, wider this time. Still, the conversation never faltered. Each text, each call, each shared moment was a thread binding us closer. Even as the miles grew longer, our connection burned brighter—undefeated, untamed. Soon after, Jessica visited him in person, and from that moment on, we’ve been traveling back and forth between states, hearts tangled in a shared rhythm of love and longing. Each visit, each reunion, was like a verse in a poem, each moment building on the last, creating a love story rich with memories that formed the foundation of our bond. In the months that followed, we built a life together, grounded in our shared faith and love for Christ. From church to church, we walked hand in hand, exploring the sacred places where His presence filled our hearts. Our love for the great outdoors found expression in countless hikes, trips to the zoo, and peaceful park days—simple joys that were woven into the fabric of our relationship. But perhaps most precious of all were the moments spent in prayer, in devotion, in the sacred space where we read the Bible together. Verse by verse, we discovered not only the depth of our love for each other but the unwavering strength that our faith gave us. Those quiet moments—praying, sharing, reflecting—became the heart of our love, the anchor in the storm. Then, after more than a year of love and laughter, on July 25th, 2024, George asked the most important question of all. It was a summer evening in Arizona, following a Bible study, when the moment arrived. There was a game, a playful challenge of guessing foods, and knowing how competitive Jessica is, she eagerly joined in. But little did she know, the game was only the beginning. The first round passed, and everyone guessed correctly. The second round came and went. And then, in the third round, George stepped forward, his heart racing, knowing what was about to unfold. He knelt down, took Jessica’s hand, and as she looked up, her heart skipped a beat. Surprised, overwhelmed, her eyes filled with joy and tears as George asked her to marry him. And in that moment, there was no hesitation. She laughed through her tears and, without a doubt, said "yes."
